THE GRAND PALAIS OPENS ITS DOORS
July 18 2009 For the very first time, the Grand Palais will be opening the doors to its main entrance hall, the Vestibule d’honneur, every day from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. From this huge area measuring 300 m2 (3,200 sq. ft.), you can look through the glass partition recently embellished with Daniel Buren’s multicolour in situ work “Sur le seuil, dans la couleur” (“On the threshold, in colour”), and admire the outstanding architecture of the Nave.
The new bluetooth “hotspot” installed in the peristyle lets you download information on the Grand Palais, free of charge: the content includes the history of the building, upcoming events, life backstage, and testimonies by leading personalities like Karl Lagerfeld and Daniel Buren.
All the content is available free of charge in French and English.
